Masters in Communication Disorders and Sciences
Our master’s program in Communication Disorders and Sciences (CDS) prepares you to become a nationally certified speech-language pathologist. A speech-language pathologist is a professional specializing in the prevention, identification, and treatment of communication disorders. This program is designed to be a five-semester program including two semesters of clinical internship.
Master in Counseling and Rehabilitation Education
The Counseling and Rehabilitation Education program offers graduate studies leading to the Master of Science degree counseling. The purpose of the graduate program is to prepare professional counselors to engage in professional practice and research in their program areas of interest. The program coursework meets the educational requirements to allow students to apply for national certification as a professional counselor and entry-level counselor licensure in Illinois. Students, in concert with their adviser, develop academic plans that capitalize on student's interests, strengths, and experiences. Students may tailor their studies to focus on clinical mental health or clinical rehabilitation counseling.
Masters of Health Administration
The MHA has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of those who are place-bound or who hold full-time employment which prevents them from completing a master’s degree via traditional methods. Those interested in the management of hospitals, long term care facilities, physician’s practices, government health agencies, physicians and other patient care providers will be encouraged to enroll. The program is designed for anyone seeking a graduate degree in healthcare administration. May earn the MHA/MHI degrees concurrently by completing an additional 21 credit hours.
Masters of Health Informatics
The MHI has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of those who are place-bound or who hold full-time employment which prevents them from completing a master’s degree via traditional methods. The program is designed for anyone seeking a graduate degree in health informatics or health information management. May earn the MHA/MHI degrees concurrently by completing an additional 21 credit hours.
Master of Science in Medical Dosimetry
Our online Medical Dosimetry program provides students the knowledge and expertise they need to generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations when working in collaboration with medical physicists and radiation oncologists.
Master of Science in Radiological Sciences
The MSRS program is a comprehensive program that will prepare students to enter the professional workforce with a graduate degree in radiology, specializing in either management or education. The target student population will be individuals who have successfully completed a program of study in the radiologic sciences or health imaging field, holding a baccalaureate degree, currently licensed in a diagnostic imaging modality, and who is seeking to attain a graduate degree and enter either education or management within the broad field of Radiology and Imaging.
Occupational Therapy Doctorate
The occupational therapy doctorate program , is an entry-level, professional curriculum, designed to facilitate students’ knowledge of occupation, and understanding of the philosophical foundation, and multilayer relationship of occupation to addressing barriers to physical and mental health, well-being, and quality of life of persons, groups, and populations. The 3-year, full-time program requires a total of 103 credit hours to complete. The program is a hybrid format, of online and on-campus lecture, and laboratory courses, in conjunction with two assigned, off-site 12-week full-time supervised clinical fieldwork placements (summer year one, and spring year two )followed by a 14-week, full-time, off-site doctoral capstone experience and culminating project in spring, year three of the program.
